We offer four unique graduate degree programs, each of which is tailored to provide students from diverse cultural, academic, and professional backgrounds the opportunity to engage in a challenging, innovative and collaborative environment.
Thesis-Based Graduate Programs
- Masters of Laws (LLM) – a program that provides you the opportunity for focused study in a chosen field of law. Students in the program work closely with supervising faculty members to produce a substantial piece of original legal scholarship.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) – a research-intensive thesis-based degree that provides advanced training for outstanding graduate students for opportunities in law teaching, legal research, policy development, public and governmental service, and the practice of law.
Professional Course Based Graduate Programs
- Master of Laws (Common Law) – a one-year, full-time course-based master’s program for foreign trained or non-common law trained lawyers. Complete a master’s degree in Law while also working towards your Committee on Accreditation course requirements for practicing law in Canada.
- Masters of Laws in Taxation – a flexible course-based professional master’s program that provides lawyers and accountants with in-depth practical knowledge and technical expertise in tax law. Our specialized program builds your foundational tax law knowledge and hones your expertise in your areas of interest through a wide selection of elective courses.
